The CLEARTEST Anti-Tissue Transglutaminase IgA Rapid Test is an immunological test for the qualitative determination of tissue transglutaminase antibodies (tTG-IgA) in citrated blood, serum, and capillary blood from a finger prick. The test is intended as an aid in the diagnosis of celiac disease (gluten intolerance) and is to be administered exclusively by medically trained personnel. Celiac disease is a chronic disorder of the small intestine caused by a toxic reaction to gluten. The test serves not only for initial diagnosis but also for monitoring disease progression and ruling out IgA deficiency.

Areas of application:

• Diagnosis of celiac disease: The test serves as a supportive measure for the diagnosis of gluten intolerance, especially in cases of suspected celiac disease.

• Monitoring: The test is also helpful for monitoring patients who have already been diagnosed with celiac disease and are responding to a gluten-free diet.

• Exclusion of IgA deficiency: By determining IgA levels, it is ensured that the patient does not have an IgA deficiency, which occurs in approximately 3 to 7% of people with celiac disease.
